Today, a farewell ceremony for future soldiers departing to fulfil their sacred military duty to the Motherland was held at the Rukhaniyat Center on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of local military administration bodies and their professional holiday. The event was organized on the instructions of the district akim.

Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev delivered the opening congratulatory remarks. Congratulating the employees of the sector on the anniversary, he said:

— The work of military personnel and specialists in the defence sector like you is at the heart of the principle “A Strong Army — A Secure Country,” which is being implemented at the initiative of the President.

Thanks to your tireless, responsible and honourable work, our country’s defence capabilities are developing and becoming stronger every year. As clearly stated in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “The defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the sacred duty and responsibility of every citizen.” Today, the young people of Karmakshy District, who firmly uphold this noble principle, are setting off with great enthusiasm to fulfil their sacred duty to the Motherland. May our country remain peaceful and our people safe, and may our borders always be secure! May the number of young people who serve their Motherland with honesty and dedication continue to grow! — he said, highly commending the ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities.

As part of the spring conscription campaign, our district fulfilled the established military conscription target by 100 percent. At present, work is also underway to ensure the timely fulfilment of the established target as part of the autumn conscription campaign.

During the ceremony, letters of appreciation were presented to a number of citizens who have been conscientiously performing their duties.

In addition, Acting Head of the District Department for Defence Affairs Kaisar Mussayev, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans Askar Merekov, and Afghan War veteran Askar Ermanov addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of honest and dedicated service to the country.

A concert programme aimed at fostering a strong patriotic spirit among young people was also presented during the event. Defending the Motherland is a sacred duty. In this regard, district veteran Kuanyshbek Suleev gave his blessing, or *bata*, to the young men.

At the end of the event, the future soldiers were wished success and a safe and honourable period of military service, after which they were ceremonially seen off to fulfil their military duty to the Motherland.
