Since February of this year, a pilot project has been launched to provide the public services of "Issuance of permanent residence permits in the Republic of Kazakhstan to foreigners and stateless persons" and "Granting or extending *kandas* status" to immigrants arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan for permanent residence. The process involves testing and questionnaires conducted via the migration.enbek.kz platform (managed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan) as well as an interview at the immigrant's place of stay.

To conduct outreach and provide information regarding this pilot project, the Head of the Migration and Public Services Division of the Department for Employment Coordination and Social Programs (under the Akimat of the Kostanay Region) held a training session on September 9 for staff members of the Kostanay City Public Service Division—part of the Kostanay Regional Branch of the "Government for Citizens" State Corporation.
