Under the chairmanship of Kostanay Region Akim Kumar Aksakalov, a meeting of the regional akimat was held, dedicated to the region's preparation for the heating season. Reports were delivered by the head of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department of the regional akimat, as well as the akims of the cities of Kostanay, Rudny, Arkalyk, Lisakovsk, and the Zhitikara district.

The Head of State has repeatedly noted that the heating season is one of the most pressing issues, paying special attention to the modernization of the energy and communal sectors, as well as ensuring uninterrupted heat supply to the population.

«The heating season in the region begins on October 1. At the previous meeting, I instructed to complete preparations for the heating season by September 15. To date, all 118 heat supply sources have been fully prepared, including 4 combined heat and power plants and 114 boiler houses, as well as 698 autonomous heating systems. Readiness has been ensured for all multi-apartment residential buildings and social facilities. Repair work on 30.7 kilometers of heating networks, as well as water supply and sewerage networks, has been completed», – noted the head of the region.

To date, city and district akimats have stockpiled about 384.1 thousand tons of coal, which constitutes 94.3% of the plan. In the cities of Kostanay, Lisakovsk, and Arkalyk, 8 major projects for the reconstruction of heating networks are being implemented. It was planned to renew 14.7 kilometers of networks by 2026. This volume has been fully completed. As a result of the work carried out, the level of wear and tear of heating networks has decreased to 42.8%.

«Last heating season, we managed to significantly reduce the number of accidents – from 254 to 134 cases. The number of resident complaints also decreased from 96 to 20. Our task for the upcoming season is to ensure its stable passage, without accidents and interruptions», – said Kumar Aksakalov.
