On September 21, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” Amb. Nurgali Arystanov had a meeting with Mr. Nishigata Kotaro, Chief Representative of JICA in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the sides discussed further cooperation between the agencies within the action plan framework and reviewed the draft KazAID–JICA Roadmap for 2026. The parties also focused on exploring the possibility of organizing a joint seminar on disaster risk reduction.
