The Republican Championship has started in Karaganda.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by Deputy Akim of the region Oraz Taurbekov, Chairman of the regional maslikhat Nurken Kobzhanov, Vice-President of the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhannur Kaligozhin, and Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Nurken Nuratov.

       Table tennis is very popular in Kazakhstan. It is enjoyed by both children and adults, as well as people with disabilities. In our region alone, more than 13,000 people are passionate about this sport, of which almost 4,000 are in rural areas.  

       The Karaganda table tennis school is one of the best in the republic; its students create serious competition for representatives from other regions. Not only our native region, but the whole of Kazakhstan is proud of our champions. The Asian Games are currently taking place in Japan. Our tennis players – Kurmangaliyev Alan, Akasheva Zhauresh, Koshkumbayeva Zhanerke, and Zhaksylykova Albina – are also fighting for victory. We are rooting for the guys! And we wish the young talents good luck and victories at the Kazakhstan Championship in hospitable Karaganda!
