On 24 September 2026, an oath-taking ceremony was held at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the newly appointed Chairperson and judges of the Constitutional Court.

The oath was taken by Elvira Azimova, Chairperson of the Constitutional Court, and the following judges: Saken Abdolla, Leila Zhakayeva, Kairat Zhakipbayev, Aizhan Zhatkanbayeva, Aigul Kydyrbayeva, Kanat Mussin, Bakyt Nurmukhanov, Sergey Skryabin, Aslan Tukiyev and Sergey Udartsev.

In accordance with Article 72 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitutional Court consists of a Chairperson and ten judges.

The Constitutional Court is an independent state body that exercises constitutional review and ensures the supremacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan throughout the country.

Pursuant to Article 7 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan", judges of the Constitutional Court take an oath of office upon their appointment.

The oath of a Constitutional Court judge entails a commitment to perform judicial duties honestly and conscientiously, remain impartial and be guided solely by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the exercise of their duties, ensuring its supremacy.
