First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Nalibayev, on behalf of the Head of Government, arrived on a working visit to Kyzylorda Region and, together with the region's Akim Murat Ergeshbayev, reviewed the progress of the region's road infrastructure projects.
In August, the Head of State launched via video link the construction of the Kyzylorda — Saksaulsk, Ulgaysyn — Saksaulsk, and Beineu — Saksaulsk highways, noting the special strategic importance of these key routes at the crossroads of nine roads, which give impetus to the prosperity of our country.
First, the progress of the reconstruction of the Kyzylorda city ring road was presented. The general contractor, the partnership 'Kyran', is currently carrying out work on laying the road base, constructing asphalt-concrete layers, and installing reinforced concrete culvert pipes. 46.4 billion tenge has been allocated for the project, with commissioning planned for 2029.
242.3 billion tenge has been allocated for the reconstruction of the Kyzylorda — Saksaulsk highway section. Integra Construction KZ LLP has engaged 131 workers and 82 units of equipment for the construction. Currently, the fertile soil layer is being removed along the road and the subgrade is being laid. In addition, design solutions are being developed and engineering and geodetic surveys are being conducted.
The current state of the reconstruction of the Beineu — Saksaulsk highway also did not go unnoticed. In total, 191.5 billion tenge has been allocated for the 182.2-kilometer road. At the construction sites, 112 workers and 90 units of equipment have begun removing the soil layer and carrying out laying work. The facility is divided into 4 sections.
Topographic and geodetic surveys and exploration of soil quarries have been completed. Currently, laboratory analyses of soil samples are being carried out, and design documentation for the route and road safety facilities is being developed.
752.5 billion tenge has been allocated for the reconstruction of the Ulgaysyn — Saksaulsk highway. As part of the project, 452 people are working at the construction sites.
The main feature of these projects is that during construction, traffic moves along the existing road. After the new road is fully completed, traffic is transferred to it, and the existing road is reconstructed. Thus, the facilities are commissioned in stages.
'Our Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich noted that the new benchmarks will multiply the country's transit potential and logistics capabilities. Conclusions must be drawn from the sharp criticism regarding road quality. Therefore, first of all, special attention must be paid to the quality of the work. A high-quality road that meets all requirements will last a long time. These facilities, which are of great strategic importance, are under the supervision of our President and Head of Government',- said Nurlybek Mashbekovich. After the full completion of the road construction, freight transportation will grow, which will give a new impetus to the development of the country's economy and tourism, and will also help improve the well-being of the population. The main goal is to turn our country into one of the leading logistics networks connecting Europe and Asia.
