The Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared video materials based on film, photo and audio documents stored in the Central State Archive of Film and Sound Recordings.
Historical videos can be seen in 24 cinemas in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and other regional centers.
The show takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the evening hours.
The videos cover various topics such as "The very first photograph in the history of Kazakhstan", "The very first audio recording in the history of Kazakhstan", "TURKSIB – the road connecting East and West", "The evolution of Almaty architecture", "Ethnographic photographs brought to life using a neural network", etc.
The project was implemented thanks to the conclusion of a memorandum of cooperation and interaction on the popularization and promotion of audiovisual documents between the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Film Park represented by TOO "CINEMA INVEST GROUP".
This initiative is aimed at attracting the attention of viewers to historical materials and strengthening interest in national history and culture.
