The forum "Youth for a Sustainable Future of Central Asia" is being held in Almaty

The international forum "Youth for a Sustainable Future of Central Asia" is being held in Almaty with the support of the ICI of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was organized within the framework of the UNDP regional project "Strengthening the resilience of local communities in order to prevent violent extremism in Central Asia". Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as UN experts from Japan and Switzerland are taking part.
The forum is aimed at sharing experiences and discussing topical issues of youth policy, as well as providing information on the current state and priorities in the field of youth rights and needs. In the course of the work, the main priorities for regional cooperation will be determined.
The Forum includes presentations by representatives of government agencies, subordinate organizations, non-governmental organizations, clergy and structures dealing with youth development and employment in Central Asian countries.
