Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov visited the southern districts of Kostanay region on a working visit. The focus is on improving infrastructure, developing the economy and improving the quality of life of the population. Particular attention was paid to the city of Arkalyk, which plays a key role in the strategic development of the region.
New CHPP - a guarantee of heat and stability
One of the most important objects of the visit was the new thermal power plant, which provides stable heat supply to the entire city.
•Technical specifications: two steam boilers and two turbo units with a total capacity of 6.5 MW.
•City supply: since the beginning of the heating season, which started on October 2, the CHPP has already used more than 4,500 tons of coal.
•Reserve capacity: the fuel oil station is ready to support the system if necessary.
•Coal reserves: 42,000 tons are planned for the 2024-2025 season, of which 15,155 tons have already been delivered.
The new station will become a support for the sustainable heat supply of Arkalyk and a guarantee of comfort for its residents.
Prospects for the development of Arkalyk
Kumar Aksakalov outlined the priority areas for the development of the city:
1. Road repair: it is planned to restore 68 km of the road to the border with the Ulytau region.
2. Resumption of the airport: will improve transport accessibility and create new opportunities for economic development.
3. Education development: Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after Y. Altynsarin will receive the status of a university.
4. Construction of a kindergarten: the project of a new preschool institution will ensure the availability of high-quality education for children.
Open dialogue with residents
During the visit, the akim of the region held a meeting with the residents of Arkalyk and personal receptions of citizens. The meeting discussed current issues and initiatives:
• Support for families in need of better housing conditions.
• Compensation for victims of spring floods.
•Development of sports infrastructure and construction of new sites.
“It is important for me to listen to everyone personally in order to promptly resolve any issues that arise. All requests have been taken under control,” Kumar Aksakalov emphasized.
Working meetings in Amangeldy and Dzhangeldy districts
As part of the visit, the akim also visited Amangeldy and Dzhangeldy districts, where he held reporting meetings and receptions of citizens. Key topics included infrastructure development, improving living standards, and restoring the Arkalyk-Torgay road.
A meeting with Zhaina Alpyskyzy, the winner of the international togyzkumalak tournament, was a particular source of pride. The akim presented her with a memorable gift and wished her new sports victories.
Results
The southern districts of the region are becoming a center of attraction for investments and new opportunities. The implementation of the planned projects will give a powerful impetus to the development of the region and the improvement of the lives of the population.
