The electric power distribution company Shet-Energo LLP will be sued for the seizure of its property in favor of the state, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov said at a meeting of the commission on the demonopolization of the economy, where issues of implementing the Presidential Decree "On measures to liberalize the economy" were considered.
Shet-Energo LLP provides electricity to the settlements of the Shetsky district. Villagers often complained about unjustified power outages. Experts noted a lack of power, high wear and tear of power grids, poor-quality repair work, and a lack of emergency crews.
"The company regularly allowed emergency situations. In order to avoid harm to the life and health of residents of the Shetsky district, it was decided to go to court in order to requisition the company's property in favor of the state," the website reported Primeminister.kz .
