The republican inclusive sports festival "Temkindikter" was held in Astana. Students of the Karaganda region won four medals of different denominations.
About 200 schoolchildren of grades 5-6 and 7-8 from 19 regions of Kazakhstan participated in the festival. The competition program consisted of boccia, athletics and "fun starts". Karaganda region was represented by five teams.
– In May, a selection was held, according to the results of which teams were formed to participate in the festival. There are three people in each of them: two ordinary schoolchildren and one child with special needs. Karaganda residents proved themselves to be a cohesive team, actively supporting each other. The main message of the festival is that all children are equal. And this was perfectly demonstrated by the competition. This experience helped the students understand that everyone deserves respect and support," said Askhat Kaketaev, Deputy head of the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for Additional Education of Children "Saryarka Daryny".
Among the winners are teams from Saran. The first place among grades 5-6 in boccia competitions was taken by students of secondary school No. 13. The gold medal in athletics among grades 7-8 was won by students of boarding school No. 7.
The team of the G. Mustafin secondary school from Karaganda took second place in the "fun starts" (grades 5-6). And the team of secondary school No. 11 from Temirtau received bronze in the same category among grades 7-8.
The winners were awarded with medals, gifts and diplomas.
In addition to the competition, excursions were organized for the participants.
