The Karaton Podsolevoy site, where exploration work is underway, is located in Atyrau and Mangistau regions near the deposits of Embamunaigas JSC.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Askhat Khasenov and Director General of JSC Tatneft Nail Maganov discussed the preparations for drilling the first exploration well with a depth of 5,500 meters at the Karaton Podsolevoy site. The necessary drilling equipment is currently being installed at the site. Drilling is scheduled for November 2024.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of petrochemistry.
Recall that on February 21, 2024, in Kazan, JSC NC KazMunayGas and JSC Tatneft signed a purchase and sale agreement, a shareholder agreement and an agreement on financing the Karaton Podsolevoy project.
