The next city open rhythmic gymnastics championship is taking place in the capital. 320 artistic gymnasts take part in the championship, the youngest of whom is 9 years old, the official website of the Akimat of Astana reports.
The opening ceremony of the championship was attended by Deputy head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Astana Islambek Baymanov, director of the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 1 Daniyar Tulegenov and wished good luck to the participants of the competition.
"Congratulations on the start of the Astana Open Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship! This championship is not just a competition, it is the embodiment of real skill, art and striving for perfection. Today, young gymnasts gather here who strive to defend the honor of our city, demonstrate their skills and receive worthy prizes. Each performance is filled with the desire for beauty and harmony, to new heights.
I wish all participants good luck, inspiration and great performances! Each of you is proud of your achievements and continues to strive for new heights," Islambek Baymanov said.
Among the participants of the city championship are Erika Zhailauova, Akmaral Yerekesheva, who defends the honor of our national team. Leave was granted only to Aybota Yertayevna.
"In addition to the capital, we have a special participant from the Abai region. The aim of the tournament is to select the best who will take part in major competitions in 2025. The squad for the youth competitions, which will be held in February, will be selected at the upcoming championship of Kazakhstan. Among the participants until 2015 there is a master of sports, a candidate for master of sports, various categories," said Assel Mustafina, senior coach of Astana city in rhythmic gymnastics.
Currently, more than 5,000 athletes train in 16 rhythmic gymnastics schools in the capital. Among them, about 300 gymnasts will take part in the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 1 under the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Astana city for free. The young talents of our city are among the main favorites of the republican championship.
It should be noted that the competition will last until November 2.
