A Workshop on modern approaches in project management was held in Astana

On November 8-9, 2024, a Workshop on project management on the theme "Agile" was held at the site of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Stability. Project Culture", dedicated to modern approaches to project management, sustainability and implementation of agile methods.
The event was attended by Advisor to the Head of State K.B. Yessekeeva, Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asanov Zh.K., First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanysh Tuleushin, as well as Deputy Permanent Representative of UNDP in Kazakhstan S. Khodzhimatov. The leaders stressed the importance of introducing best practices of project management for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
The workshop brought together more than 200 participants from the project offices of not only government agencies, but also organizations and business communities, which allowed the exchange of experience between representatives of various sectors and experts in project management.
As part of the first part of the event, the presentation of the IPMA book "Projectification of Society" took place: the Case of Kazakhstan». The presentation was conducted by A.A. Akhmetov, one of the authors of the book, who also shared his own experience in the field of project management, noting important achievements and prospects of Kazakhstan in the development of project culture.
The program included four panel sessions where leading experts shared their experience and knowledge in agile methods in project management in the public sector, project culture and team leadership, project management systems, project monitoring and management.
Additionally, the participants were presented with a video review of the work of the National Accelerator and monitoring of strategic projects.
The next day, a simulation game "SimulTrain" was held, where civil servants developed strategic thinking and project management skills in a real project environment.
At the end of the event, the employees of the project offices were awarded certificates of honor and letters of thanks from the Minister of Digital Development, which emphasized their contribution to the development of project management.
