"You are not only the pride of our country, but also a symbol of an intellectual nation": Gani Beisembayev met with gifted schoolchildren of Zhambyl region
16.11.2024 18:21:38 902The Minister of Education met with the leaders of the school parliament, winners of national and international Olympiads, as well as debate tournaments.
According to the results of the 2023-2024 academic year, the piggy bank of the regional national team was replenished with about 470 medals at various intellectual competitions. Another 29 Zhambyl schoolchildren became winners of the republican Olympiad in general education subjects, which allowed the team to receive the nomination "The best Olympic team".
Margulan Sharel, an eleventh–grader of the Bilim-Innovation Boarding Lyceum, is among the winners of prestigious international Olympiads among schoolchildren. He defended the country's honor at the 65th IMO-2024 International Mathematics Olympiad in the UK and won a silver medal.
"We recently visited Akorda, where we proudly celebrated our achievements at international subject Olympiads. The support of the President, my teachers and parents inspires great faith in myself and my strength. And in the future, I want to contribute to the prosperity of our country and the development of domestic science," said IMO–2024 silver medalist Margulan Sharel.
In turn, the minister noted that the state creates all conditions for the full self-realization of the younger generation. At the initiative of the President, since 2022, winners and prize-winners of international subject Olympiads, as well as their teachers, have been awarded monetary rewards.
"You are not only the pride of our country, but also a symbol of an intellectual nation that is based on a solid foundation of knowledge and a desire for continuous development. Your achievements inspire your peers and serve as an example for everyone. The state fully supports you on this important path, providing the necessary resources and creating conditions for further growth. I believe that your desire for knowledge and self—improvement will become a driving force for the whole nation," Gani Beisembayev summed up.
At the meeting, the students were able to ask questions to the Minister, share their achievements and goals for the future. It should be noted that this year our students won 26 medals at the world subject Olympiads and became three-time world champions in robotics, two-time champions in chemistry.
