VICE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION DARKHAN AHMED-ZAKI MET WITH RESIDENTS OF AKTOBE REGION
Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki held a meeting with residents of the region at Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov during a working trip to Aktobe region.
At a meeting with the population, the Vice Minister announced reforms in the field of domestic science and higher education, the results achieved, and also spoke about future plans. He noted that the Ministry pays special attention to the support of educated youth and the development of applied science. In addition, the Vice Minister explained the main directions of the plan for the development of higher education and science for 2023-2029. In particular, the Vice Minister shared data on the implementation of the national model of engineering education, expanding access to global digital platforms, the draft law "On Science and Technology Policy", on the mortgage program for young scientists, and also shared data on the results of commercialization of scientific projects.
Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki emphasized that the role of artificial intelligence in the modernization of education and science is increasing.
– According to the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the introduction of artificial intelligence and the development of digital technologies are among the main priorities of the country. According to him, these technologies open the way to new opportunities and increase efficiency.
At the meeting, suggestions from residents of the region were listened to and answers to their questions were given. After the event, a reception for citizens on personal issues was organized.
After the meeting, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki specially visited the Kazakhstan Oil Equipment Plant in order to expand cooperation between science and production, where he thoroughly familiarized himself with the work of the production site.
The Vice Minister also took part in a scientific and technological meeting aimed at solving the problems of the Kokzhide groundwater fund in Aktobe. He made a presentation on the role of science and higher education in solving the problems of industrial enterprises and got acquainted with the innovative solutions presented during the session.
