Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangali Berdalin held a meeting with Mr. Uwe Weddige, head of the Kazakh-German project "Advanced training of enterprises in the field of sustainable development of milk production in Kazakhstan" (KFM).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the project, which has been successfully implemented in Kazakhstan since 2019. Initially, 14 farms from Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions participated in the pilot project. Since 2023, work has been carried out within the framework of the project to establish a center for consulting services for farms and dairy producers based on the "Baiserke-Agro" educational and scientific and production center (SSC) in the village of Arkabay, Almaty region.
The project provides consulting services for all stages of raw material production, especially for market-oriented family farms. Uwe Weddi proposed organizing practical seminars and trainings for dairy farms, including family and industrial farms.
“Improving knowledge and skills in animal care, maintenance and feeding, feed preparation and storage is important for increasing livestock productivity and producing high-quality milk that meets the requirements of dairy processing enterprises. This is especially relevant for disseminating the experience of the North Kazakhstan region and participants in the “Aul Amanaty” program,” Amangali Berdalin noted during the meeting.
In 2024, the “Baiserke-Agro” SOE and the KFM project held 27 practical seminars and webinars with the participation of international and domestic experts.
Following the results of the meeting, it was decided to continue working out the topics for 2025 together with the “NAGBBO” NJSC. The training process involves the continuous involvement of farm specialists in production, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on increasing the efficiency of farms.
