In rural areas of Karaganda region, centralized water supply is 97.9%. In cities, this indicator is higher. This year's goal is to reach 100 percent.
The deputy head of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department, Dastan Yermekbayev, reported on the tasks to be done at the meeting of the staff.
- In order to fulfill the instruction of the Head of State to ensure 100 percent access to centralized water supply, large-scale work will be carried out this year. Funds have been allocated for eight projects in cities. It is planned to build and reconstruct 53.5 kilometers of networks in the cities of Karaganda, Saran, Balkhash and Shakhtinsk. 7 projects are being implemented in rural areas, and it is planned to build 27.6 kilometers of water pipelines, - said Dastan Yermekbayev.
Comprehensive block modules for water purification will be installed in 32 villages with a small population. Most of these villages are in the Karkaraly and Aktogay districts.
– We are committed to fully providing the region's residents with high-quality drinking water by the end of this year. This issue requires special attention and will remain under constant control. Large-scale work on the construction and modernization of water supply networks is ahead, said the regional governor, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev.
