In Astana, graduates of higher education institutions are working in their fields through educational grants allocated by the akimat, the official website of the capital's akimat reported.
Since 2018, the Astana city akimat has been allocating state educational orders for the training of personnel with higher and postgraduate education in pedagogical, medical specialties (residency), as well as in the humanitarian direction (Islamic studies, religious studies, theology) in order to eliminate the shortage of personnel in some specialties.
In the period from 2018 to 2024, the capital's akimat allocated 4,724 grants for the training of personnel under the state educational order. Of these, 3,929 were allocated for the pedagogical direction.
On the recommendation of the Education Department, 609 young specialists were employed in state educational organizations of Astana in the period from 2022 to 2024.
One of them is Zhuldyz Khamzakyzy. The young specialist currently works as a mathematics teacher at secondary school No. 102 in the city.
“I graduated from school in 2020 and scored 85 points on the UNT. Of course, it was unclear whether I would be eligible for a grant. However, thanks to the grant provided by the capital's akimat, I was able to study for free and receive a scholarship. This opportunity made my dream come true. My desire to become a teacher increased even more. And after graduating with honors, I was given a job offer at secondary school No. 102,” said the young specialist.
Zhuldyz Khamzakyzy says that this is a great opportunity for young specialists.
“I started my teaching career at this school. The staff of the educational center warmly welcomed me and always support me. I also have a personal mentor. In general, I am very happy to start my career at this school,” the teacher said.
Currently, 2,174 students are studying at the university on grants from the Astana city akimat. After graduating, they are given a job offer to work in city schools.
