In January of this year, 2.6 billion cubic meters of water were pumped into the Shardara reservoir through the Syrdarya River. This is 100 million cubic meters more than the forecast. Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with residents of the Turkestan region and got acquainted with the work of large water management facilities in the region.

We will determine whether there were any violations of the law or cases of water supply without a contract. Representatives of the Ministry's Internal Audit Department had previously visited the region. "On Monday, another working group of our specialists will begin inspection work," said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Water Management.
