The first stage of construction of a modern fish farming complex specializing in the cultivation of trout and barramundi with an annual production capacity of up to 10,000 tons has been completed. The total cost of the project by Ospanova Development Company is 67.3 billion tenge.
The construction of the complex on a 35-hectare plot of land began in 2021. In October 2023, the first trial release of 25,000 trout and barramundi fry was successfully completed.
The first stage of construction was completed in 2024. The complex includes technological, administrative and household, and engineering and technical blocks. There are pools for placing imported fish, filter units, incubation tanks, and live feed growing shops, including artemia and kolovrat.
With a phased increase in capacity, the complex will be able to produce up to 10,000 tons of fish per year.
It is expected that the main markets for the product will be the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.
