The leadership of the Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov visited one of the world's largest educational exhibitions in London - Bett Show, as part of the Kazakhstani delegation. They returned with an interesting proposal to open a branch of the British University of Exeter on the basis of the university.

– I would like to note that for the first time in 40 years, Kazakhstan was able to present its national pavilion at the large international educational exhibition Bett Show, which was held in the UK on January 23-25. During the exhibition, our Karaganda Technical University named after Abilkas Saginov received an offer to open a branch of the leading British university - the University of Exeter on its basis. So far, only a preliminary verbal agreement has been reached. But we hope that after detailed discussions on opening a branch, this will be confirmed by the appropriate conditions and further implementation, - explained the chairman of the board - rector of A. Saginov KarTU Saule Sagintaeva.

According to her, the potential foreign partner is among the top 15 universities in the UK according to the 2025 Complete University Guide and is included in the The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 rating. It is also included in the top ten of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

– I would like to emphasize that the University of Exeter is committed to high-quality education and is one of the few Russell Group universities to receive the prestigious triple gold rating of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2023), - added Saule Sagintayeva. - We are always glad to have such fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation with other foreign partners. Our university, which is at the forefront among the technical universities of the republic, also has a lot to share with its colleagues in other countries.
