At the government meeting, Bolatbek Aitbayev, Director General of the RSE "National Center for the Quality of Road Assets", reported on the work on the quality assessment of highways.
He reported that at the end of 2024, the coverage of the enterprise with quality assessment was 100% for the republican highway network and 99% for the local network. About 47 thousand samples of road construction materials were subjected to laboratory testing. Instrumental inspections and diagnostics were carried out for 22 thousand kilometers of highways.
"In general, if we compare the results for 2023-2024, positive dynamics in the quality of roads are observed. In 2023, the coverage of the local network was 89%, and in 2024 it reached 99%. The number of non-conforming road construction materials and defects decreased by 16%. The number of rework of poor-quality works decreased to 5%. According to the results of the diagnostics, the road surface smoothness improved by 5% due to the average repair work.
These indicators have yielded results thanks to timely decisions taken," Bolatbek Aitbayev noted.
