A raid was held in the Saryarka district of Astana with the participation of government agencies and public representatives within the framework of the "Law and Order" project, the official website of the capital's akimat reported.
The main goal is to identify and suppress the illegal circulation of alcohol, as well as prevent the sale of tobacco products to citizens under the age of 21.
During the inspection, a number of retail outlets were inspected, two of which were found to have violations of the law. Administrative measures were taken against the violators, namely:
- Article 423-1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan – illegal sale of tobacco products, including heated tobacco products, hookah mixtures and tobacco heating systems, to persons under the age of 21.
- Article 200 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan – violation of the requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
“The raid showed that the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco products is still a pressing problem. The sale of these products to minors and the circulation of counterfeit products pose a great threat to the health and safety of citizens. "We will continue to systematically conduct raids to eliminate such violations and promote law-abiding behavior and a healthy lifestyle in society," said Damir Khismatullin, chief specialist of the Saryarka district akim's office.
The district akimat calls on entrepreneurs to strictly comply with the requirements of the law, and city residents to report the facts of illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco.
