Due to the increase in the population of Astana, the demand and need for social facilities are increasing. In order to solve this problem, the construction of important facilities for the city's residents, such as schools, kindergartens and medical institutions, is being carried out continuously at the expense of the state budget and private investments. For example, last year, 24 schools were opened in the capital, and this year it is planned to commission several more educational institutions. Kasymkhan Sengaziev, Head of the Astana City Education Department, spoke in more detail about which districts and how many new facilities will be opened in the future, the official website of the capital's akimat reported.

Last year, the number of school places commissioned in the country reached a record high. The capital is one of the leaders in terms of the number of schools built. Last year, 24 schools for about 33 thousand students were opened in Astana in one shift. Most of them were built within the framework of the "Zhayly Meket" national project. The schools built under this project accepted 22,400 students from the capital in the new academic year.

According to Kasymkhan Sengaziev, head of the Astana City Education Department, seven of the "Comfortable Schools" are located in the Yesil district, four in the Nura district, three in the Almaty district, and the remaining two in the Saryarka district.

In addition, 3 schools with 1,550 places and 5 private schools with 3,240 places were commissioned under the budget investment project.

This will allow solving the problem of three-shift, overcrowded and dilapidated schools in the capital.

Kasymkhan Sengaziev said that work on building schools will continue this year to ensure that students from the capital receive quality education. In 2025, 15 schools will be opened that can accommodate 23,000 students in one shift. Four of them will be built under a budget investment project and will accommodate 2,700 students. Two of these 4 schools will be located in the Nura district, and the rest in the Almaty district.

The construction of schools within the framework of the "Zhayly Mektep" project will continue this year.

"In 2025, it is planned to put 15 schools with a total capacity of 22,912 places into operation. Of these, 7 educational institutions for a total of 14 thousand students will be opened within the framework of the "Zhayly Mektep" national project. 4 schools will be located in the Nura district, 2 schools in the Almaty district, and 1 school in the Baikonur district. The number of private schools in the capital will also increase. 4 schools built at the expense of private investors will accept students in the new academic year. Thus, more than 6 thousand students will be educated in these schools. "3 schools for 5,172 students will be located in the Esil district, and 1 school for 1,040 students will be located in the Nura district," Kasymkhan Sengaziev said.
