The capital's municipal services are working around the clock, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On February 4, 2,630 road workers and 1,783 units of special equipment were deployed to clear snow in the capital during the day shift.
On the night of February 37, 81 heavy trucks removed more than 46 thousand meters of snow from the city.
Since the beginning of winter, municipal services have removed more than 4 million 897 thousand cubic meters of snow from the city to landfills using 383,545 heavy trucks.
Firstly, in order to avoid traffic jams, according to the rules, areas with high traffic volumes are cleared. Also, areas of medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, public transport routes, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow removal areas in the city. They are equipped with license plate reading, video surveillance and lighting systems.
