Unused agricultural lands are being returned to our region

Work continues on the return of unused agricultural lands to state ownership in Abay region. This year, it is planned to return 170 thousand hectares of land.
Today, the interdepartmental subgroup of the regional akimat has returned 4959.2 hectares (21 land plots). Of these, 4694.8 hectares belong to pastures, and 264.4 hectares to other unused lands. The main volume of returned lands is in Aksuat district (13 plots - 3915 hectares), Beskaragai district (3 plots - 304.2 hectares) and Zharma district (5 plots - 740 hectares).
Instead of the planned 110 thousand hectares last year, 121.1 thousand hectares (256 plots) have been returned to state ownership, which is 110% of the plan. Of these, 114.8 thousand hectares were pastures, 4.5 thousand hectares were fallow fields, and 1.8 thousand hectares were other unused lands.
Currently, data on 114 plots with a total area of ​​644.1 thousand hectares have been submitted to the Department of Land Resources Management for return to state ownership.
For example, 107.9 thousand hectares of land returned to agricultural circulation between 2022 and 2024 were withdrawn. Another 54.6 thousand hectares of land were approved for the needs of the population by akimats.
