Growth of socio-economic indicators in Abay region

The short-term economic indicator was 105.3 percent. The largest growth was recorded in construction – 131.6%, industry – 102.6%, domestic trade – 110.5%, agriculture – 106.4%. This was stated at a briefing in the central communications service by Governor of the region Nurlan Urankhaev.
237.1 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. This made it possible to provide housing for 2 thousand families. The average monthly salary at the end of the second quarter increased by 12.3% and amounted to 340 thousand tenge.
Own revenues increased by 126.5%, and the regional budget received 294.9 billion tenge. The budget of Semey amounted to 114.7 billion tenge.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the head of state, a comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the region for 2023-2027 was approved. The investment will include 102 events worth 1.9 trillion tenge. In 2024, it is planned to implement 74 events, of which 7 have already been completed. Until 2028, an investment pool has been formed, which includes 23 projects. As a result, there is an opportunity to create 7 thousand jobs. Currently, 6 projects have been implemented and 225 jobs have been created.
