From October 22 to November 1, 2024, an online vote was held on projects for the improvement of the city of Almaty within the framework of the "budget with the participation of the People" program. At the next stage, the results of online voting will be summed up.
Each district akimat of the city forms and analyzes the voting results, indicating the accepted applications and the number of citizens who voted for each project. The results will last until November 7, 2024.
In total, 163,582 votes were cast, which is 31% more than in 2023. Residents of the city voted for the most projects this year in the following categories
- installation and repair of gazebos, benches, garbage cans, children's and sports grounds for recreation of the adult population in public places-55,708 votes
- installation, repair and lighting of sports and children's playgrounds in courtyards and public places-33,577 votes
- creation, repair and lighting of public areas-32,898 votes
The following districts took the lead in the voting: Medeu – 36,726 votes, Almaly – 28,765 votes and Zhetysu – 25,684 votes. Last year, the majority of voters voted in Medeu district.
One project with registration number 24102020003 in almaly district received 1904 votes. Residents of houses tole bi 160/24, Auezov 32 and Bogenbay batyr 255 were mobilized to combat flooding of their yards. Thanks to joint efforts, the project was developed, a schematic sketch was drawn up and a preliminary estimate was calculated. Good neighbors, on their own initiative, took an active part in the "budget with the participation of the People" program and became the leaders of the district in terms of the number of votes.
The projects that received the most votes will be implemented by district akimats in 2025.

Recall that on behalf of the mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dossayev, in 2024, financing under the "budget with the participation of the population" program was increased to 18.8 billion tenge (12.9 billion in 2023). This year, district akimats continue to implement the projects of the winners of the 2023 voting, to date, 261 projects have been implemented.
