On November 4, the 13th meeting of the Kazakh-French Business Council was held in Paris within the framework of the state visit of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France. The event was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of digital development of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry Zhaslan Madiyev.
The council will contribute to the establishment and strengthening of ties between companies of Kazakhstan and France. This will help the businesses of the two countries find new partners, expand trade and economic relations, as well as increase trust between representatives of the business community.
Zhaslan Madiyev spoke at the event, noting the main achievements in the field of digitalization, including the development of innovative ecosystems, Govtech and startup projects, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence in all areas.
Kazakhstan is home to 20 million people, the average age of which is 32 years, which means a dynamic population, ready for innovation. Our country ranks ninth in the world in terms of land area and accounts for about 60% of the total GDP of Central Asia.
"This indicator is provided by our developing IT sector, which includes more than 200,000 specialists and annually trains about 40,000 IT graduates. Kazakhstan is also home to the world's oldest and largest Cosmodrome, which determines our commitment to technological progress. Thanks to such a strong foundation, we are ready for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age," Zhaslan Madiyev said.
According to the minister, Kazakhstan has created a comprehensive and innovative infrastructure to support startups. At the center of this ecosystem is the leading Technopark of Central Asia – Astana Hub. Today, Astana Hub has more than 1,500 resident companies, including more than 400 international companies, which indicates our open policy for global innovation. Over the past five years, Astana Hub participants have attracted about 5 555 million in investments and earned доллар 1.9 billion, which indicates the high potential of our ecosystem. Our annual IT export volume has now exceeded about доллардан 500 million, reflecting the global competitiveness of our technology sector.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of strategic partnership was signed between the Ministry of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan and NSDS Digital Investments to develop digital and artificial intelligence education in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The memorandum was signed by the minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry Zhaslan Madiyev and co-founder of NSDS Digital Investments Nicolas Sadirak.
This cooperation, in which Astana Hub acts as a key partner, is aimed at developing Tomorrow School, a network of innovative programming schools based on the 01edu platform, creating an innovative training program in artificial intelligence, promoting Kazakhstani talents in the international arena, as well as participation of both sides in various events and knowledge exchange.
Tomorrow School is the first peer-to-peer artificial intelligence School in Kazakhstan from Astana Hub, which operates exclusively on the 01edu platform. Tomorrow School provides a unique opportunity to get a free education in the field of AI without requiring initial training in programming.
This project is part of the creation of the National Artificial Intelligence Center.
"Alem.AI the national AI center will become a catalyst for innovation, capable of launching up to 100 startups a year and support Kazakhstan as a leader in the development and application of artificial intelligence," the Minister of digital development summed up.
