Within the framework of the visit of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to Shanghai, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the General Customs Administration of China signed a protocol on inspection, quarantine and veterinary and sanitary requirements for the skins of cattle exported from Kazakhstan to China.
This protocol was the result of three years of bilateral negotiations, an important step in strengthening economic ties between the countries. The document will contribute to increasing the country's export potential, the competitiveness of domestic products in the international market.
Cattle skin will become the 11th type of agricultural products, the export of which to China is regulated by such agreements. Earlier, protocols were signed for the export of frozen beef, lamb, pork, honey, fish, dairy products, wool raw materials, thoroughbred and slaughtered horses, as well as slaughtered cattle.
In general, the Ministry of Agriculture is actively working to expand export opportunities for domestic agribusiness. At the same time, special attention is paid to the Chinese market, where there is a high demand for Kazakh products.
In July of this year, a similar protocol was signed regarding the export of live cattle for slaughter.
It is planned to expand the export of poultry products, by-products, dry mare's milk and other goods.
