On the first day of the competition, women competed for medals in the weight categories up to 48 and 52 kg, and men competed in the categories up to 60 and 66 kg.
The award ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erbol Myrzabosynov, President of the Judo Federation of Kazakhstan Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, Deputy Akim of Aktobe region Abzal Abdikarimov, member of the International Judo Federation Commission for Commercial Cooperation and Partnership Almaz Alsenov, champion of the Olympic Games in Paris Eldos Smetov and bronze medalist of the Paris Olympics Gusman Kyrgyzbayev.
This year, the championship of Kazakhstan is being held with the participation of foreign specialists. To ensure the objectivity and high level of the competition, the functions of observers are performed by international judges: Vladimir Ostryakov, Evgeny Rakhlin and Vladimir Mutsubidze.

The championship brought together 510 athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.
The competition will last until November 18. Following the results of the championship, the national composition of the Kazakhstan national judo team for the 2025-2026 sports season will be formed.
