Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek on his Instagram page spoke about the work done in the city, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
"This year, large-scale work has been carried out to transform the city! About 140 courtyards and 30 public spaces (parks, squares, boulevards, alleys) have been landscaped. There are more points of attraction in the city – places where residents and visitors of the city spend their leisure time.
For example, residents raised the issue of landscaping the site located in the square of Mangilik El Avenue and Alikhan Bokeikhan and Orynbor streets. Here we have landscaped the square. It is divided into several functional zones, each of which is aimed at different groups of visitors. This is a walking area, a quiet recreation area - there will be a mini amphitheater for cultural events, a landscaping area, a children's play area - playgrounds with various complexes, swings and sandboxes are provided. At the moment, the final work is underway.
In addition, the Zhastar Park has been significantly transformed. There appeared: skate park, pump track, play area, etc. A modern sports complex "Sana" also operates on the territory of the park.
This year, the forecourt of the city and the adjacent Birzhan Sala and Goethe streets were also improved. The total length of the station streets is 1.5 km. Landscaping of 5 public spaces was also included here.
On the "Kazakh Eli" square in front of the Palace of Independence, a territory with a total area of 13 hectares was landscaped, large-scale landscaping works were carried out.
The works covered all areas of the city. Next year we also plan to carry out large-scale works on the improvement of courtyards and public spaces (squares, boulevards, parks)," the mayor of the capital wrote.
