During an official visit to France, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with representatives of large French companies and government agencies to discuss the development of partnerships in key areas: cloud technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, space research and access to high-speed Internet. The French side highly appreciated Kazakhstan's achievements in the field of digital transformation, expressing readiness for the exchange of experience and cooperation.

Clever Cloud, one of France's largest companies in the field of cloud solutions for automation, scaling and security of digital platforms, has expressed interest in scaling its business to the Kazakh market, offering to open a joint venture. Clever Cloud sees Kazakhstan as a promising partner for expanding its services, which will strengthen the country's technological infrastructure.

Discussions with Airbus focused on the development of space and aviation technologies. Kazakhstan is interested in using Airbus solutions for monitoring natural resources, environmental management and digitalization of the aviation sector. Airbus also presented the Zefir unmanned aerial vehicle and offered to conduct pilot tests of this long-range UAV on the territory of Kazakhstan.

Negotiations with Synchrotron Soleil have opened up prospects for scientific cooperation in the field of AI and big data. Joint research projects aimed at analyzing big data using AI were discussed.

The meeting with Thales was dedicated to cybersecurity and technology research. The Minister was given a tour of the company's research institute, where special attention was paid to AI, quantum computing and chip development. Kazakhstan is interested in Thales solutions to improve the security of critical infrastructures, as well as in sharing experience in the field of advanced technologies, which will help strengthen the country's cybersecurity.

At the meeting with the State Secretariat for AI and Digital Transformation of France, issues of digital transformation of the two countries were discussed, including the exchange of experience in the field of GovTech, where Kazakhstan has already achieved significant success. The parties agreed to hold an online meeting to share best practices and discussed plans to participate in the AI Summit in France next February. Kazakhstan proposed to hold the next AI Summit in Astana, and also invited the French side to participate in the annual Digital Almaty forum.

Also at the meeting with OneWeb, the possibility of providing more favorable conditions for the use of the company's satellite solutions in Kazakhstan was discussed. The use of OneWeb technologies to provide high-speed Internet is especially relevant for remote regions where it is necessary to overcome digital inequality and provide access to digital services.

The Minister expressed confidence that these meetings lay a solid foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation with French companies and government agencies. Combined efforts in strategic areas such as digitalization, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity will allow Kazakhstan to accelerate digital transformation, develop an innovative ecosystem and improve the quality of life of citizens.
