As part of the trip, Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Yermek Kosherbayev took part in the official signing ceremony of the Agreement on the establishment of a joint Kazakh-Indian enterprise for the production of titanium slag "IREUK Titanium Limited" between JSC Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Combine and the Indian state company IREL Limited.
- India shows dynamic growth in the foreign trade of East Kazakhstan. Today we have gathered at a significant event symbolizing the strong ties between Kazakhstan and India. The signing of the agreement on the establishment of a joint venture between Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium-Magnesium Plant and the Indian company IREL Limited opens up new horizons for our cooperation and makes a significant contribution to the development of both countries. This agreement highlights our common goals and serves as an impetus for the implementation of other projects in the field of high technology and sustainable development," said the head of the region Yermek Kosherbayev.
This agreement will allow UKTMK JSC to expand its own raw material base, which will help strengthen the competitiveness of Kazakhstani titanium in the world market by reducing the cost of production. In turn, this contributes to further ensuring the economic growth and well-being of the Republics of Kazakhstan and India.
On the part of UKTMK JSC, the Agreement was signed by Asem Mamutova, President of the company, and on the part of IREL Limited, by Mr. Dipendra Singh, Managing Director.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Iran Sharkhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mumbai Mahendra Kumar Sanghi and Deputy Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mumbai Asif Navruz, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC UKTMK Mr. Silvan Geler.
