A career guidance festival "CareerTime" was held in Almaty, on the basis of Narkhoz University. This large-scale event allowed young people to determine their professional direction and familiarize themselves with the needs of the labor market. The festival was attended by 26 universities and 30 large companies that provided more than 400 vacancies for young people. The total number of participants was more than 2,000 school graduates and unemployed youth. The event became a part of the "Almaty student's week" and was held with the support of the Almaty City Youth Policy Department.
CareerTime is a platform of great opportunities for school leavers and urban youth. Here they can familiarize themselves with the new requirements of the labor market and establish direct contact with higher education institutions and employers. We believe that such initiatives will contribute to the professional growth of young people and reduce unemployment," said Aziz Kazhenbek, Head of the Almaty Youth Policy Department.
Various master classes were organized for the participants within the framework of the festival. In particular, there were master classes and presentations on IT and digital skills, master classes on fitness and healthy lifestyle, and creative areas on art painting.
"This festival helped me decide on the future university for admission. I found the right university for me and got to know the curriculum better. Thus, at the festival today I made an important decision for myself," said Aizhan, an 11th grade student who participated in the festival.
The CareerTime Festival has become an excellent example of the convergence of education, the labor market and creativity. The event, opening up new opportunities for the professional and personal development of young people, created conditions for a confident step into the future. According to the organizers, this event will continue next year.
In addition, a special concert program for young people was organized as part of the event.
