In the 10 months of this year, the transportation of milling products exceeded the annual figures for the last 5 years, amounting to 2.9 million tons with an increase of 11% compared to the period last year.
Kostanay region became the absolute leader in grain processing and flour shipment with a share of 50% of the total loading, the second place is occupied by Akmola region with a share of 17%.
At the same time, over 0.5 million tons of grain were transported during the September – October milling of the new crop.
According to JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the main directions of transportation of milling products are the countries of Central Asia, the leaders of imports of Kazakh flour are Afghanistan (788 thousand tons), Uzbekistan (454 thousand tons), Tajikistan (57 thousand tons), Turkmenistan (28 thousand tons) and Kyrgyzstan (23 thousand tons).
The Chinese market is also showing positive dynamics, having exceeded 0.5 million tons in 10 months of this year with an increase of 48% compared to last year.
The fleet of covered wagons is sufficient to ensure the transportation of milling products and amounts to more than 15 thousand wagons.
KTZ NC JSC and the regions have Operational Headquarters for the transportation of grain and milling products to resolve issues and ensure control of grain cargo transportation.
