Round-the-clock shift work on snow removal continues in Astana. Municipal services are eliminating the consequences of snowfall in an enhanced mode, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the day shift on November 16, about 1.4 thousand units of special equipment and over 2.4 thousand road workers went out to clear the city of snow.
On the night of November 15-16, 1,987 heavy trucks took more than 25 thousand cubic meters of snow out of the capital on flights. Since the beginning of the winter period, over 317 thousand cubic meters of snow have been delivered to snow ranges by more than 25 thousand flights.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are being removed from snow — squares, forecourts, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Cleaning on central streets, passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the capital. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety rules, and refrain from long-distance trips in case of a storm warning.
