At the entrance to the city of Zhanaozen, the Dombra installation is 10 meters high and 4 meters wide.
This art object will not only become an attractive place for selfies, but will also play an important role in promoting the voice of the steppes, the richness of Kazakh culture and popularizing it among the younger generation.
- Dombra is our history, the voice of the people. Our ancestors expressed their inner anxiety and joy with the help of dombra. All festive rituals of the Kazakh people are held to the sounds of the national instrument. We wanted to show that Zhanaozen is a center of indestructible traditions and culture, a city of education and civilization," says Adilet Sami, head of the Zhanaozen city Department of Housing and Communal Services and Housing Inspection.
Currently, additional lighting is placed in the installation area and landscaping work is underway.
