A conference on "The responsibility of religious leaders in the fight against global challenges" was held in Iran. The event was organized by the Center for Dialogue of Religions and Cultures of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cooperation with the Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Experts in the field of religious studies from the two countries discussed the importance of the potential of religious leaders in solving modern social problems. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The speakers stressed that the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is taking place in Kazakhstan, plays an important role in bringing religious leaders closer together in key areas of global development, strengthening peace and harmony between countries and peoples.
Within the framework of the conference, representatives of the Kazakh delegation held a meeting with the Head of the Organization for Culture and Islamic Relations under the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In addition, members of the Kazakh delegation visited the University of Tehran, where they met with the teaching staff and students.
