A delegation from the Abai region headed by the governor of the region Nurlan Urankhaev made a working visit to the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan – Kazan. The delegation also included Chairman of the maslikhat Kuanysh Suleimenov, deputy akims Zhasulan Sarsebayev, akims of districts, heads of departments, Kazakh Invest Regional Director for the region Abai Kairat Asainov, Director of the Semey International Airport Gazizbek Samatov, ambassador of the Abai IT-Valley project Askhat Beisembayev, General Director of Avtotransline VK LLP Ramil Nigmatulin, and also representatives of business and culture.

The purpose of the trip is to strengthen interregional ties and exchange best practices in the field of technology, entrepreneurship and cultural development.
Kazan, being a major transport and industrial center of Russia, is known as an important hub of railway, automobile and aviation routes, as well as one of the key river ports on the Volga. The city holds leading positions in mechanical engineering, metalworking, aircraft manufacturing, chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as in the light and food industries.
In addition, Kazan is famous as one of the largest scientific and technological centers in Russia. The city is home to the leading Russian technopark in the field of high technologies "IT Park", as well as one of the largest technoparks in Europe "Idea". Kazan is also an example of multinational and multi-confessional coexistence, with 136 places of worship, including 70 mosques, 45 Orthodox churches and other religious buildings.
This visit is aimed at establishing business ties and exchanging promising ideas that will help strengthen economic and cultural cooperation between the Abai region and Tatarstan.
