To date, grain acceptance to grain receiving enterprises of the Akmola region is carried out around the clock.
In order to coordinate the harvesting operations on behalf of the akim of the region, a regional headquarters was established in the region. The main task of the headquarters is to constantly monitor the progress of the harvesting campaign, control the work of grain receiving enterprises, in order to ensure uninterrupted work on grain acceptance and drying.
"The heavy rainfall that fell during the harvesting period set the task for farmers to effectively preserve the new crop. Currently, 66 licensed grain receiving enterprises, agricultural formations of grain storage facilities 1510 and 122 grain dryers with a total storage capacity of 7.2 million tons are involved. To date, there are about 3 million tons of grain in the elevators. Local agricultural producers also provide support for the safety of grain," said Kenesh Alimzhanov, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Land Relations.
Additionally, agricultural producers use more than 2.5 thousand units of grain sleeves (bags) to preserve 500 thousand tons of grain.
By the way, in 2024, the total area of crops in the region amounted to 5.4 million hectares, of which 4.7 million hectares are occupied by cereals and legumes, 269 thousand hectares by oilseeds, 421 thousand hectares by forage crops, 2.4 thousand hectares by potatoes and 1.4 thousand hectares by vegetables.
According to the results of the harvesting campaign, a grain harvest of 6.6 million tons was harvested, with an average yield of 14.1 quintals per hectare.
