The ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan from Boccia was held in Astana, the official website of the capital's mayor's office reports.
86 paratroopers from 14 regions of the country took part in the tournament. Among them were 13 athletes from Astana.
Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the boccha Federation of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev and Deputy akim of Astana Yerik Meirkhanov awarded the winners of the competition at the awarding ceremony of the cup of the country.
As a result of the competition for the Boccia cup of Kazakhstan, the winners were determined in four categories among adults and juniors.
In the team competition, the team of Astana city won. The second place went to the team from Almaty, and the top three were won by athletes from Pavlodar region.
By the way, Boccia is basically a ball game. That is, it is one of the few Paralympic sports that allows children and adults with the most severe disorders of the musculoskeletal system to improve themselves. In our country, the Boccia federation was created in 2021 on the initiative of parents raising children with disabilities and coaches of the world of equal opportunities Public Foundation.
