Kazakhstan strengthens its position in the Rule of Law Index: New Report by World Justice Project

On 23 October 2024, the report of the World Justice Project was published, which recorded progress in Kazakhstan in the area of rule of law. The country improved its position from 0.53 to 0.54 points, reflecting a consistent effort to strengthen the rule of law and improve the effectiveness of the legal system.
This growth is the result of Kazakhstan's comprehensive efforts to combat corruption, protect human rights and improve the judicial system. The index measures key indicators such as government’s limited powers, transparency, rights, security and justice.
Kazakhstan has shown the highest results in the field of public order and security, receiving 0.80 points. There is also a significant improvement in the indicators of absence of corruption (from 0.48 to 0.50) and regulatory enforcement (from 0.52 to 0.53).
