Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's working trip to the Zhetisu region continued with a visit to the Karatal district.
In the village of Eskeldy bi, the President inspected the house of culture and the sports complex, which were put into operation this year.
The house of culture, built at the expense of the local budget and designed for 150 seats, has a library and a number of creative groups, including ensembles of grandmothers and dombrists, a dance circle.
The Head of State visited the village library. At a meeting with young talents, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished them to become worthy citizens of our country.
The President presented the House of Culture with musical equipment and a painting by the artist A. Bayandin.
This year, 5 cultural centers in remote villages of the region were completely renovated, 8 clubs were built anew.
In addition, 15 small sports facilities have been opened in settlements in order to develop mass sports.
One of them was erected in the village of Eskeldy bi. The doors of the togyzkumalak, chess, checkers, boxing, wrestling, volleyball and basketball sections were opened for local residents.
In an interview with the children, the President stressed that the state creates favorable conditions for the education and sports of the younger generation.
Then the Head of State visited the Kemel Tokayev Secondary School located in Ushtobe.
The director of the school, Lyazzat Ispanova, told Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the achievements of the students.
Then he got acquainted with the Kemel Tokayev Museum, opened in 1997, which presents his personal belongings, photographs, documents and books. The President was shown an intellectual game dedicated to the life and work of the writer, as well as a small production based on his novels.
The Head of State was also told about the results of the activities of the Kemel Tokayev Charitable Foundation, which was established 15 years ago.
