During a working trip to the Almaty region, Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin visited the Kegen meat processing plant.
Commissioning works are being completed at the meat processing plant.
With full capacity, the meat processing plant will be able to process up to 3,000 tons of meat from cattle, small cattle, and horses per year, produce 331.5 tons of sausage and 66 tons of canned meat. Such a volume of production will not only satisfy the needs of the local market, but also create an opportunity to export products to other regions of Kazakhstan.
Then the Vice Minister got acquainted with the activities of Kazmyaso LLP.
The company is engaged in cattle breeding, meat canning.
The farm has 3,000 heads of the Angus breed. A full production cycle has been established — from its own feed base to packaging lines of finished products — chilled marbled beef meat. The company uses Australian technology for growing, fattening and slaughtering cattle, attracting foreign consultants to work.
The Vice Minister gave a number of instructions to improve the infrastructure of the enterprise. The management of Kazmyaso shared their work plans.
Amangali Berdalin also got acquainted with the implementation of the fishing complex of Ospanova development LLP.
In October 2023, the first test stocking of three pools in the amount of 25.0 thousand pieces of trout and barramundi fry was carried out.
The first batch of fry has been received. This year, it is planned to receive up to 1,000 tons of barramundi and trout, with the phased construction of nurseries and an increase in volume to 10,000 tons of fish by 2031.
To date, construction and installation works of the UZV production system and the administrative and economic building are being completed at the facility.
The Vice Minister assessed the progress of the construction work, talked with the founders of the company and explained about the development of fisheries in Kazakhstan.
