A press tour of the facilities implemented within the framework of the Budget of People's Participation program took place in the Nauryzbay district of Almaty. The akim of the district, together with the authors of the projects, demonstrated the results of the transformations to the residents.
The first object was the landscaping of the territory in front of the Barlyk market. Previously, the site was in a neglected state, now it has been transformed into a modern public area with a length of 450 meters. Fences have been installed in the landscaped area to prevent spontaneous trade, 150 trees and 60 shrubs with an automatic irrigation system have been planted, and power lines have been moved underground for the safety of residents.
"Now this place has been completely transformed. Paths, greenery, comfortable areas – it is clear that everything is being done for the residents. Thanks to everyone who took part in this project," Beibit Nazarov, a resident of the district, expressed his gratitude.
The next object in the framework of the press tour was a pedestrian zone in the Shugyla neighborhood. The new 350-meter-long pedestrian zone has become a favorite place for residents. There is a modern playground for children, a basketball court and a workout area and an amphitheater for cultural events. 84 birches, 24 pines, more than 500 shrubs were also planted, 3,400 m2 of lawns were laid.
The third object was the road improvement in the ST "Edelweiss", where the road surface and sidewalks were improved, which provided comfort of movement. In addition, 3,800 m2 of sidewalks were built, 14,500 m2 of pavement was updated and new asphalt was laid in the Al-Farabi residential complex and other residential areas.
"New asphalt, lighting – it all makes our lives better. We are grateful for these changes!" said Irina Vaganova, a resident of the Edelweiss Art.
The final object is the landscaping of courtyards in the Rahat microdistrict. As part of the landscaping in the MD. The facades of eight apartment buildings have been renovated, the courtyards have received a modern look, new garbage containers have been installed, the football field has been updated and new asphalt has been laid.
"Now we have a cozy courtyard with an updated football field. This is what we have been waiting for for a long time!" said Rinat, a resident of the neighborhood.
In turn, Akim of Nauryzbay district Nazira Togizbayeva stressed the importance of the BNU program.
"We appreciate every initiative and try to implement it in the best possible way. The BNU program is an opportunity for every resident to contribute to the development of the district," said Akim of the district Nazira Togizbayeva.
