On Independence Day, 700 students of secondary school No. 29 in Astana joined the teachers and sang the song "Men kazakpyn" in chorus, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
This challenge, organized with the aim of awakening the patriotic feelings of schoolchildren, was sent to students from other cities of the republic.
The capital's schoolchildren traditionally perform folk songs on every holiday. Such events will continue in the coming days.
"This event was attended by students of grades 1-11 of Kazakh. It was not difficult to choose a song. Because this song is close to my heart," said school principal Aizhan Mametkhan.
It should be noted that the words of the patriotic song "Men Kazakpyn" were written by poet Nurzhan Omirbai, and the music was composed by composer Zharashan Tolebai.
