Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek announced on his Instagram page the opening of another comfortable school, the official website of the Mayor's Office of the capital reports.
"We have opened another comfortable school. This is the eighteenth new school that we have opened since the beginning of the new academic year.
The new model school is located in the Urker residential area. The educational institution is designed for 4 thousand students in two shifts. To date, children study in three shifts in this school at Lyceum No. 69. Thus, the new school will solve the problem of overcrowding. Children will start studying there from the 3rd quarter.
As part of the national project of the Head of State "comfortable school", 11 new schools have already been built and opened in the capital. In total, within the framework of this national project in the period from 2024-2025. 24 schools of the new format will be built. These educational institutions will create about 90 thousand student places in two shifts.
We plan to open several more schools by the end of this year. We are also preparing the groundwork for the next years. For example, in 2025 we plan to build and commission more than 20 schools," the mayor of the capital wrote.
